LUCKNOW: A day after Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath admonished a host of BJP workers for allegedly indulging in corruption, political arc-lights turned to his iron-fist approach to maintaining the party's clean image at the grassroots level in the run-up to 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Adityanath, during a closed-door meeting with party workers in Lalitpur on Sunday, castigated a few party ranks for “acting like brokers” in the execution of government projects and contracts. “He categorically asked the organizational leaders to ensure that such practice is stopped,” a top BJP leader privy to the meeting confirmed to TOI. The meeting was attended by UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh, Lalitpur MP Anurag Sharma, district in-charge Anil Yadav, and district president Raj Kumar Jain.
