'Unstoppable'- Former Tottenham manager delivers verdict on Chelsea's Armando Broja after Wolves

Armando Broja recently sat down and did an interview with the Players Tribune where he reflected on his career to date, and after Saturday's win for Chelsea against Wolves in the Premier League, it could be lift-off for the Albanian international from this point.

His time so far has largely come from the substitutes bench but at no point had Broja become disgruntled with his situation with former boss Thomas Tuchel, unlike the re-energised Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.

And his patience has finally paid off under the new regime, which he committed to a new and improved deal in recent weeks, with Todd Boehly viewing him as the future of the Blues's attacking force.

Graham Potter introduced the former Southampton loanee into proceedings at 2-0 with 72 minutes on the clock. Fast forward 18 minutes, and after a through ball by fellow substitute Mateo Kovacic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's and Kai Havertz's back-up made his statement of intent with a well-taken finish which ended up in the bottom corner of Jose Sa's goal.

It was a moment which meant the whole world to the 21-year-old, and former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood described the moment as 'unstoppable.' Chelsea fans will be hoping that word will be a sign of things to come.

Sherwood described the goal in his Sky Sports role on Gillette Soccer Saturday: "VAR was checking for offside, but he was clearly onside as he was behind [Max] Kilman.

"Kovacic slides in it behind, and he [Broja] gets around Kilman goal side, drops his shoulder, gets it on his right foot, and bends it past José Sá.

"Unstoppable finish. I'm pleased for the boy. It's probably the most important goal he has scored. He scored a lot on loan at Southampton but to score for your boyhood club and to now build your career here, they need a centre forward, and why can't they give this boy an opportunity?"
