It's more of the same weather for Newcastle on Thursday, according to the Met Office, as another unsettled day is in prospect.
Early mist patches will clear to leave a day of sunshine and scattered, heavy and slow-moving showers, with a possibility of thunder. Winds will be light with a maximum temperature of 18°C, which is near average for this time of the year.
The showers will start to shift on Friday, although there will still be some drizzle and the day will mostly be cloudy. On the plus side, we're in for a mostly fine and dry early weekend, with sunny spells on Saturday, cloudier along the coast. However rain will be back on Sunday, moving erratically south eastwards.
