‘Unknown’ STI far more common among women from BME backgrounds, study finds

An “unknown” sexually transmitted infection is far more common among women from black and minority ethnic backgrounds and deprived communties, new research has found.

The study, carried out by Preventx, the UK’s largest provider of remote sexual health testing, warned trichomonas vaginalis often occurs with no symptoms.
