Univision Leadership Transition: Ignacio 'Nacho' Meyer Steps Down as President, Moves to Advisory Role

TelevisaUnivision is preparing for another major leadership change as Ignacio "Nacho" Meyer, one of the company's most influential executives and a central figure in its television, music and entertainment operations, will step down as President of U.S. Networks & Local Media on October 15, ending nearly 15 years with the Spanish-language media giant.

The departure was announced in an internal communication sent to employees and obtained by this reporter. Meyer will remain connected to TelevisaUnivision in an advisory capacity to assist with the transition, although the company has not announced who will replace him.
