Universal Credit and DWP benefit payment date for millions will be different this month

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed that millions of Brits will see the August benefit payment date change.

More than two million people in the UK receive Personal Independence Payments (PIP), including those that live with a disability or health condition that affects their daily life. The DWP announced that its decision to change the payment is not unusual due to the August bank holiday taking place on Monday 29.

While many people who receive Universal Credit, PIP, Pension Credit and tax credits may be concerned hearing that the dates will change, it may actually be a good thing this time around because it is getting paid early for most people. Those who usually receive their benefit payment on Monday will instead receive it on Friday 26, the Express reports.
