The United States will face Japan in the 2023 World Baseball Classic title game on Tuesday night from loanDepot Park in Miami. Both teams have had impressive runs to get to this point. The Americans dominated Cuba in the semifinals, scoring 14 runs while allowing only two. Trea Turner led the way while hitting two home runs and driving in four runs.
Meanwhile, Japan has had a much tougher road to the final after escaping a strong South Korean team in the first round and then the semifinal game against Mexico really showed the true grit of this Japanese squad. Down 5-4 heading into the ninth inning, they rallied for two runs to win the game and secure their spot in the final.
