Songs from Ulysses and other works by James Joyce can be heard at a once off concert the Palestrina Choir at St. Mary's Pro Cathedral in Marlborough Place this Bloomsday.
The performance cleverly titled Re-joyce! will explore the musical life of Joyce’s Dublin as well as the Joycean links with both the Palestrina Choir and the Pro-Cathedral itself, which he writes about extensively in Ulysses.
As well as commemorating Bloomsday and the work of James Joyce the concert also coincides with the celebration of the Palestrina Choir's 120 year anniversary.
The performance will be presented by Darina Gallagher, Director of the James Joyce Centre, and Blanaid Murphy Director of the Palestrina Choir of St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral.
