Unique social club for dogs to open with playtime, discos and cafe

A unique social club for dogs offering an incredible range of activities from doggy discos to brain games has opened, with a huge launch ‘paw-ty’ planned.

Dogs Go Social Club in Upton is said to be the first of its kind in the UK and is offering free membership. On weekdays, the centre will offer outdoor play sessions, indoor classes, bubble play, toy play, brain games, scent seeking, group training, a doggy disco, treat time and more.

Chill time, helping dogs to relax will classical music and essential oils, will also be available, with grooming and holistic therapy treatments to come soon. At weekends, dogs can enjoy playtime, bingo, quizzes, themed events as well as a cafe and shop selling puppaccinos, treats and a wide range of ethically sourced dog goodies and products.

Dogs Go was founded in Raby in 2017, and has since become a multi-award winning dog park, training tens of thousands of dogs in Wirral. The business is made up of highly trained dog specialists and have been praised by the authorities for ‘setting the standard’ for the industry.

Dogs Go Social Club offers free membership and all new dogs are taken through a strict induction process at one of the social events. They are given a behavioural assessment before playing in a smaller area and then being integrated into the main play area with other dogs. They are then given a flower garland, medal and party bag after their first session.

To celebrate its opening, a “Launch Paw-ty” will take place this Sunday (July 2) from 2pm. This will give dogs and owners the chance to learn more about the concept, with games, prosecco, food, treats, goody bags, stalls, music and more available.

Sarah Ashworth, owner of Dogs Go, said: “Dogs Go in Raby has developed a fantastic reputation as we are very thorough and have strict membership criteria that dogs must meet. Our doggy camps and social events at the park are fun, interactive and safe — improving dogs’ mental health by socialising, stimulation and training. We have been transforming dogs’ lives and the owners are amazed at how they develop with us.”

She added: “To now open this huge, first of its kind social club centre is a dream come true. There’s nothing like this around that offers so much under one roof.

“We’re really proud of what we do and we have had hundreds of five star reviews of the past six years. This is because we’re extremely thorough and we love dogs with all our heart. We’ve had almost 12,000 dogs visit us since opening in South Wirral and this new centre will take things to the next level — helping even more dogs enjoy a better way of life.”

Dogs Go Social Club is located at Champions Business Park, Upton, Wirral. It is open on weekdays from 7.15am to 6pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm.
