TWO restaurants in Scotland's capital city have been named among the most beautiful in the world ahead of a prestigious award.
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards aims to highlight the eateries with the best interior designs.
Introducing the annual honour, the RBD website said: "The most important and influential design competition for food and beverage spaces worldwide.
"In its 16th year, it recognises and celebrates the world's most creative spaces and the people behind them."

SUSHISAMBA and W Lounge from Marriott were the two Scottish restaurants named among the most beautiful in the world after being shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
Located on Saint James Square, SUSHISAMBA is an "intimate cocktail bar" that combines a range of "new flavours" and "authentic" dining to create a truly unique atmosphere.
The restaurant, which celebrates Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian food, also boasts an "unfettered" 360-degree view of Edinburgh.
This eatery is also popular with visitors and has received a 4/5 on Tripadvisor.
One visitor said: "Fabulous food, service and views of the city! It is one of the best meals I've ever had. The vegetarian choices were great and so full of lovely fresh flavours. Will definitely be back!"

W Lounge was the other eatery shortlisted with it boasting similarly stunning views over the capital.
The Marriott website said: "The signature W Lounge offers all day dining with direct access to a unique rooftop W Deck rewarding visitors with the finest, unfettered 360-degree views of Edinburgh."
Reviewers also took to Tripadvisor to praise the spot with one simply writing: "Beautiful, well designed and fabulous surroundings to relax in."
The Restaurant & Bar Design Award's grand ceremony will take place in Barcelona on October 31.
