That's right, you could be heading to the top of the North Cantilever of the iconic Forth Bridge this September as part of a very unique event. And best of all? You'll be helping a top charity out with funds by buying the special tickets.
Speaking about the event, children's charity Barnardo's eplained that 'Your View' is a unique opportunity to enjoy an uninterrupted 360-degree panorama view of the Edinburgh and Fife coastline as you have never seen them before - all from a viewing platform 361 feet in the air.
Posting about the annual charity event on their website, the charity wrote: "For a select number of days per year, you can purchase a ticket to be taken up to the top of the North Cantilever of the iconic Forth Bridge.
"The Bridge has become one of Scotland’s most photographed features and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From dawn until dusk, the views from the top are always different so your view will always be unique."
Running on September 23, 24 and 25, all the money raised from Your View will go towards funding Barnardo’s vital work to support vulnerable children in Scotland.
There are three events on offer, the 'classic', which is priced at £70 for 90 minutes, and Sunset (6.30 pm) or Sunrise (6.15 am) which are priced at £80 for 105 minutes. Included in the package is a tour of the Forth Bridge exhibition, the trip to the top, a certificate of achievement and printed souvenir photograph, alongside the chance to review and purchase additional souvenir items. Tickets – which can be purchased here – are limited to 4 per person You must be 18 years or over to take part in the event.
The Barnardo's team added: "Weather will dictate if we can safely ascend to the top of the bridge. If we are unable to ascend at your booked time, we will offer you an alternative time or provide a full refund."
