Brits waste years of their lives mindlessly phone scrolling, study finds

Britons are set to spend an average of four years and eight months of their lives using mobile phones unintentionally.

Virgin Media O2's year-long research, involving over 6,000 participants, found more than a third of phone use (36 per cent) occurs without clear purpose – equating to around one hour and 26 minutes daily.
