A specialist police underwater team has been searching the River Trent to try to find a missing man who was last seen a week ago. Nottinghamshire Police say they have "real concerns" for the welfare of 34-year-old Adrian Karpinski after he was reported missing from The Meadows area of Nottingham.
Adrian was last seen on the Embankment near to the Wilford toll bridge at around 6pm on Thursday, March 24. Searches have been taking place on the River Trent on Thursday, March 31 and police are handing out missing person posters in the area as part of their ongoing enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Bull, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers have real concerns for Adrian since he was reported missing to us. We have been in close contact with Adrian’s family to support them and to ensure they are aware of our activity during what must be a heart-breaking and anxious time.
