An undertaker has won her fight against Glasgow City Council after appealing against a fine she received for dropping a grieving family off outside a pub, in the pouring rain.
East Kilbride-based Hester and Lalli Independent Funeral Care were slapped with the fixed penalty notice after crossing a bus lane to reach the Grant Arms pub after a funeral service on October 11.
Managing director Dee Lalli previously told Glasgow Live that the limousine was taking a bereaved family to the Argyle Street venue for the wake but ended up driving through the bus lane in order to drop the family off in front of the venue as it was “lashing” down with rain.
