A city centre cocktail bar under pressure over noise complaints has submitted an plans to open at a new venue.
Proprietors of On Point on Victoria Street had been expected to be hauled in front of Liverpool Council’s licensing and gambling sub-committee earlier this month to defend its right to trade alcohol after complaints were made about noise from the venue. That meeting was deferred after Cllr Nick Small, who applied for a licence review, was unable to make the crunch hearing.
After confirming to the ECHO the current venue would be vacated, On Point bosses have now put in a proposal to Liverpool Council for its new site 300m away on Eberle Street. The new bar will be known as It’s On Point and is seeking to serve alcohol on and off the premises from midday to 1.45am Thursday to Saturday and midday to 1am Sunday to Wednesday.
