Undefeated Liverpool boxer Jack McGann to headline York Hall card this Friday

Unbeaten super-welterweight prospect Jack McGann is hoping to announce himself on the domestic scene with a win in London next month. The 29-year-old has a record of 6-0-1 as a professional since 2018 and is set to headline Neilson Boxing’s latest Fight Town event in the capital on Friday, July 1.

McGann, who is trained by former super-middleweight Martin Murray at Wildcard Boxing, survived a scare in his last bout when he faced John Brennan.

Brennan had the Liverpool fighter on the canvas for the first time in his career after landing a well-timed right hand, however, McGann was able to gather himself and push on for a knockout win, stopping his opponent in the fourth.

The 29-year-old has also made headlines with his celebrity fanbase such as Stephen Graham and Tom Hardy, with the latter appearing on McGann's YouTube channel as well as visiting the fighter's house in the past.

Now McGann is taking on a different challenge as he comes up against Italy’s Nicola Cristofori (14-3-2) but the prospect says he raring to go.

“Prep for this one has been great, I’ve had great guys helping me in sparring and in camp so I am prepared to go the full 10 rounds,” he added.

“The support I get means the world to me, from Stephen, to Tom, my sponsors Samantha Hutchinson and The Power of One and the people who spend their hard earned money to watch me.

“I couldn’t do any of this without it and it seems to be growing with the performances I am putting in so I just want to thank everyone.”
