Unapologetic Phillip Schofield insists he was 'unfairly targeted' over 'Queuegate'

Philip Schofield has spoken out about the backlash he received over 'Queuegate' when he was targeted on his doorstep by a TV news channel. He insists he was 'unfairly targeted' and refused to apologise for the controversial move that landed him in hot water with many members of the public.

The widespread backlash occurred back in September, when he and his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby was accused of jumping he queue to see the Queen lying in state after footage of the two emerged. At the time, a five mile-long queue formed of thousands of people waiting hours to say their goodbyes to Her Majesty, as the ITV duo were whizzed through Westminster Hall.

On being targeted by GB News he said: "Why would I apologise? You've already seen that 700 other journalists did exactly the same thing."
