The flight no one books
Agartala's airport is small enough that you can see your bag come off the belt from where you're standing at the carousel. There is no duty-free corridor, no moving walkway, no ambient retail hum. You walk out into Tripura and the air is different, not in the way travel writers mean when they say that, but literally different, thick with something green and unhurried. The state is landlocked by Bangladesh on three sides. It is one of the smallest in the country. And it has been waiting, without much impatience, for people to figure out it's worth the ticket.
