'Unacceptable risk' halts Janine Balding rapist release

A serial rapist will remain behind bars beyond his last criminal sentence after a court decided he could not be released into the community.

Wayne Wilmot was sentenced to a one-year continuing detention order in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday to prevent the high-risk offender leaving custody.
