Una Healy said she is ‘heartbroken beyond words’ as penned an emotional tribute to her late friend Lynsey Bennett following her death.
The Cervical Check activist passed away at her home in Co. Longford on Thursday at the age of 34, following a battle with cancer.
In a statement on Friday afternoon, her solicitor Gillian O'Mahony said that she passed away peacefully last night.

Irish singer Una, who was one of Lynsey’s best friends, recalled their treasured memories together and opened up on her grief, as she led the tributes flooding in for the well known campaigner following the news.
The former Saturdays star said: “Lynsey,
“I am heartbroken beyond words."
“I am so grateful for all the special memories we made together. Always in my heart, forever in my soul.”
Una posted a photo of the pair on one their last adventures together, during a recent joint family trip to Disneyland Paris with their kids, and added:
“Life is so precious and you lived and loved it to the fullest.
“Rest in Peace my beautiful friend.
“My thoughts are with your family and friends especially your babies Zoë and Hailee.”
Mum of two Lynsey is survived by her daughters, Zoe, 14, and Hailee, nine.
Lynsey was diagnosed with cancer in 2017.
In 2021, she settled a High Court action over the alleged misreading of her cervical smear slides which missed her diagnosis.
Last year Lynsey flew to Mexico to try pioneering treatment in a specialised hospital in Cancun in a bid to beat the dreaded disease.
