The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has issued a grave warning regarding the situation in north Gaza, where the entire population is facing a severe risk of death due to ongoing military operations by Israel. According to reports, hundreds of Palestinians have lost their lives, and tens of thousands have been forced to flee their homes once again.
Acting Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator expressed deep concern over the escalating crisis, highlighting the targeting of hospitals, detention of health workers, destruction of shelters, and obstruction of first responders. The situation has led to families being separated, with men and boys reportedly taken away in large numbers.
The UN official emphasized that the actions of Israeli forces in besieged north Gaza are unacceptable and must be halted immediately. The blatant disregard for human life and violation of international laws of war cannot be tolerated any longer.
