UN Human Rights Head Claims U.S. Attacks Against Alleged Drug Boats 'Violate International Human Rights Law'

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, has called U.S. strikes against alleged drug boats in the Caribbean "unacceptable" and called for an investigation on them.

Concretely, Ravina Shamdasani, a spokeswoman for Türk's office, said during a UN regular briefing that the attacks and "their mounting human costs are unacceptable."
