Umesh Pal murder case: Court junks Atiq Ahmed's wife's pre-arrest bail application

Umesh Pal Atiq Ahmed Shaista Parveen Murder Prayagraj Ashraf Guddu Muslim

PRAYAGRAJ: The MP/MLA court of Prayagraj on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail application of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case, observing that "she has been named as an accused in the FIR, is accused of killing of three persons and her role has been mentioned in the FIR itself".

"Hence, taking into consideration the facts, circumstances and nature of the offence, the anticipatory bail application is rejected," said special judge, MP/MLA court, Dinesh Chandra Shukla, in his five-page order.
