Rob Lyttle admits there will be a hint of revenge in the cold Belfast air when Ulster host the Stormers on Friday night (7.35pm).
The last time the sides met was in the semi-final stages of last season's United Rugby Championship.
On that hot afternoon in Cape Town Ulster were denied by a Mannie Libbok conversion deep into added time which earned the South African side a 17-15 victory.

The temperature will be significantly lower for Friday's renewal, but Lyttle is determined to turn up the heat on the first-time visitors to Belfast.
"We played them a couple of times last year. They are a good outfit, a dangerous team, so we know what we are facing and we can control and handle them," the Ulster winger said.
"I think it was nearly 30 degrees when we played them in South Africa so this week will be easier conditions, maybe that favours us.
"We have to be secure tactically and not kick easy balls back to them because that’s what they feed off."
Ulster go into the game with their tails up, having beaten Sale 22-11 in the Champions Cup last weekend.
It was a big result for Dan McFarland's side, who haven't had much to cheer in recent weeks.
Lyttle hopes Ulster can continue building momentum as they seek a home semi-final in the URC.
He said: "It's a very big game, as we want that home semi-final in the URC and we want to aim for that.
"The Sale win has given us a boost of confidence and we owe the Stormers one after last year. Last week means nothing if we don't back it up."
He added: "This match will finish off this block of games, after this game we get 10 days off so I'm going to have a bit of family time and maybe do some farming with my dad."
McFarland has made three changes to the side that started against Sale last Saturday, with Eric O'Sullivan, Ben Moxham and Stewart Moore replacing Andrew Warwick, Jacob Stockdale and Stuart McCloskey.
Alan O’Connor will lead the side once again, with club captain Iain Henderson in camp with the Ireland squad ahead of the upcoming Guinness Six Nations.
On the bench, John Andrew, Rory Sutherland, Andrew Warwick, Kieran Treadwell and Jordi Murphy provide the forward cover, with John Cooney, Ian Madigan and Ethan McIlroy named as the backline options.Team news
