Ukrainians in Bristol share worries as country is fiercely shelled

Ukrainians living in Bristol have spoken about the dangerous situations their families and friends back in the country are facing. Kyiv and other cities across the country are being fiercely shelled in the most intense blasts to hit the Ukrainian capital since the early days of the war.

President Joe Biden has condemned Russia's missile attacks on Ukraine's cities as indiscriminate and offered his condolences. Cities across Ukraine - including the capital of Kyiv - were targeted and the Ukrainian State Emergency Service claimed there were 11 deaths and 64 injuries across the country.

Olya Radetskaya, who has been living in Bristol for nine years and has previously spoken about the war in Ukraine, said: "It's rather bad where my friends and family in Ukraine are at the moment.
