A Russian airstrike survivor has spoken of being left "covered in blood" after bombs rained down on Ukraine overnight, killing nine people including a two-year-old child and a 75-year-old.
Early Friday, air raid sirens rang out as Moscow pummelled the country with more than 20 cruise missiles and two drones, with many of them striking Kyiv in the first attack on the capital for more than a month.
There were no immediate reports of any missiles hitting targets in Kyiv but fragments from intercepted missiles or drones damaged power lines and a road in one neighbourhood.
