A Russian missile strike struck a vital logistics centre used to secure US and EU weapons, the Kremlin has claimed.
Russia has hit a military logistics centre used to secure supplies of US and European weapons, the country’s defence ministry claimed.
A statement on Tuesday claimed Russia forces had struck a military airfield near the southern city of Odesa which destroyed missiles, drones and ammunition supplies.
A statement read: “High-precision Onyx missiles struck a logistics centre at a military airfield in the Odesa region through which foreign weapons were being delivered.
"Hangars containing unmanned Bayraktar TB2 drones, as well as missiles and ammunition from the US and European countries, were destroyed.”
Ukrainian officials claimed a missile strike on the city killed two people, a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl.

Despite the attacks on Odesa and Mariupol, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) claimed a quarter of Russia’s entire ground combat strength have now been rendered “combat ineffective”.
In its most recent update, the MoD said Russia’s military is now “significantly weaker” as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s military has also prevented Russian troops from gaining an advantage while enemy troops have suffered strategic and operational failures, despite having superior numbers.
An explosion was also reported at an arms factory in Russia. Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian foreign ministry tweeted footage of the blast at the arms factory in Prem.
The Perm factory is located 700 miles to the east of Moscow. The factory is used to make rockets for Russian rocket systems, air defence systems, tanks and artillery.
