Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will give a ‘historic address’ to MPs in the House of Commons on the Russian invasion of his country on Tuesday, it has been announced.
Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said he had granted the request for Mr Zelensky to read a statement to the House of Commons at 5pm on the Russian invasion of his country.
News comes after Ukrainian forces have retaken the regional airport near Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine from Russian troops, regional Governor Vitaliy Kim said on Monday.
It comes after the Ukrainian President condemned Russia’s ceasefire as “immoral” following the shelling of civilian targets.
