Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has announced the successful interception of a plot to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, allegedly orchestrated by Russian agents. The SBU revealed that the Russian operatives were caught red-handed while planning the assassination.
The thwarted assassination attempt comes amidst escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia, with the two countries locked in a bitter conflict over the annexation of Crimea and ongoing military aggression in eastern Ukraine.
