Ukraine drone strike on Russia’s largest online retailer leaves 9 dead

  • Ukrainian drone attacks on two Wildberries warehouses in Russia resulted in eight deaths and approximately 60 injuries.
  • The targeted warehouses were located in Kotovsk, Tambov region, and Elektrostal, Moscow region.
  • Separately, falling drone debris caused a fire at an oil depot in Noginsk, Moscow region, injuring two people and prompting a maternity hospital evacuation.
  • Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine's Security Service destroyed a Russian Tu-95 strategic bomber at the Engels air base, nearly 500 miles inside Russia.
  • Protests are ongoing in Kyiv following the removal of popular defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
