The agreement, hailed as the strongest between the two nations since Ukraine's independence, was signed during a news conference with US President Joe Biden at the G7 summit in Italy.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of the pact, highlighting the global threat posed by Russia and the need for enhanced security measures. He stated, 'This is an agreement on security and thus on the protection of human life. This is an agreement on cooperation and thus on how our nations will become stronger. This is an agreement on steps to guarantee sustainable peace and therefore it benefits everyone in the world.'
