The Met Office has issued a yellow weather wind warning for Brits today as strong winds are expected to cause power cuts for thousands more in the UK.
There is a yellow ice warning in place for large parts of Aberdeen and Inverness across Monday, and a wind warning down much the east coast of England.
On Tuesday the same parts of northern Scotland will be under a yellow wind warning.
Today, the Met Office has warned that wintry showers and plummeting temperatures in north Scotland will lead to icy surfaces which could be dangerous to those out and about.
They warned of the dangers posed by roads that hadn’t been salted, as well as pavements and cycle paths.
Icy surfaces could increase the chance of accidents and injuries happening.
The same day, Storm Corrie has caused a yellow wind warning to be issued for much of the east coast of England, stretching from Seahouses in Scotland to Norwich.
Warnings of “large and dangerous waves” along the coasts were issued, and similarly cancellations and delays were more than possible along public transport routes.
Potential power cuts and interruption of mobile phone coverage as possible as well as “injuries and danger to life”.
There is also a chance of property damage and falling trees and people should be aware of “flying debris”..
The Met Office also issued a wind warning for the next day, for Tuesday’s strong winds which it said may lead to some disruption.
Power loss is possible and could affect thousands more on top of those already impacted by Storm Malik.
Other services could also be affected and there is a chance that train and buses will be delayed or cancelled.
Other journeys could also take longer as well.
They also warned those living on or driving near the coast, that larger than usual waves and higher tides would affect them particularly and that people should take care.
