The Met Office has urged Brits to remain 'Weather Aware', ahead of a thundery Wednesday this week.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms were forecast for huge swathes of the country, including in the Southwest, Northern Ireland, and the entirety of Wales.
The rainy conditions could be coupled with up to 70mph winds, sparking the Met Office to issue two yellow weather warnings for Wednesday.
The first warning covered all of Northern Ireland, spanning 11am until 8pm.
The Met Office told residents to expect transport delays, and even some power cuts throughout the day.
Meanwhile, the second yellow weather warning for wind stretched from the south of England through to the South West, and up to South Wales.
Strong gusts were expected to get even faster throughout the morning, with Cornwall likely to be most affected.
The Met Office said: "West or northwest winds are expected to increase during Wednesday morning, then remain strong for much of the day.
"Gusts of 40-50mph are expected widely within the warning area, but some coastal areas, especially in parts of south and west Wales and Cornwall, could see gusts above 60-70 mph during Wednesday morning.
"Outbreaks of heavy rain or showers will accompany the strong winds."
It also warned of possible wintry showers in some parts of the UK on Wednesday, which might include snow or sleet.
The Met Office tweeted: "A chilly start to Wednesday with sunshine and showers, these heavy and thundery at times.
"Showers wintry in places, mainly over any high ground.
"Strong winds with severe coastal gales in the south and west."
Snow was forecast for some parts of northern England and Scotland on Wednesday, weather maps also revealed.
Small wintry showers were expected in early afternoon, and could stretch as far south as Stoke-on-Trent and Swansea.
Most of the snow was reserved for the Scottish Highlands, however, which could see up to 4cm throughout the afternoon.
By 10pm, most of the heavy rain should've pushed out toward the English Channel and continental Europe.
In terms of temperature, it's going to be a sharp drop to near-freezing for most in the morning.
Highs of 6C will seem far cooler than it actually is, when combined with the heavy northerly winds from the Atlantic Ocean.
