UK weather: Met Office says exactly when it could snow as Easter to see 'wintry showers'

Snow is expected to fall in the UK this week as a Spring cold snap continues to grip the nation. After the coldest April night in 70 years at the weekend, wind and rain is forecast until Wednesday, before temperatures are expected to drop further.

There will be a brief respite from the cold today (April 4) as temperatures are expected to reach 13C at 3pm in Bristol. The Met Office forecast for today reads: "A rather windy day with rain through the morning, clearing southwards. Mild, but unlikely feeing it in the wind and rain. Maximum temperature 13 °C."

Unsettled conditions will continue throughout the week before it turns colder at the weekend. The Met Office predicts snow will fall across Scotland on Wednesday before moving south on Friday (April 8.)
