Brits are set for balmy 19C highs along with heavy showers and high winds before the temperature tumbles and there could be up to five inches of snow falling within a couple of weeks.
After a largely dry autumn in the south, heavy rain recently has helped the shortages with it being the wettest start to November on record.
And there is more rain ahead especially in the north west of Scotland where a Met Office yellow warning is in place and will run until 3pm on Friday.
“Persistent and at times heavy rain may cause some disruption and flooding in places,” stated the Met Office.
It told people to expect: “Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer. Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer. Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.”
There is also a yellow warning for wind in central and southern Scotland that runs until 11am today.
The Met Office states: “Very strong and gusty winds may lead to some travel disruption during Friday morning.”
At the same time a high pressure system is bringing unseasonably warm temperatures up from the Azores.
It is set to be hottest in Aberdeen on Friday at 19C but it will be widely in the mid- to high-teens up and down the country.
After this weekend the temperatures are expected to dip and there could even be snow on the horizon. Maps from WX Charts show that there may be up to five inches of snow falling in central Scotland around November 21 and 22.
BBC weather forecaster Sarah Keith-Lucas said: “Our exceptionally mild spell of November weather is expected to stick around for another few days, there is also a lot of dry weather on the cards but we have got some rain across the far north west of the UK. Not only is it very mild out there but it is also going to feel windy once again through Friday.
“So we have high pressure towards the south east and a waving weather front in the north west. That combination of weather systems means our winds are coming in from the south west. So from a very warm direction we are drawing up this warm air from the Azores right up to the UK. We can see the orange colours on the map.
"So a very, very mild start to Friday morning. On average we would expect overnight lows to be between 3C and 6C north to south but overnight temperatures are about 13C to 15C so a good 10C or even more than that above average for the time of year."
Then during Friday she continued: "Temperatures 16C or 17C for most of us but as high as 19C for the north east of Scotland, probably the warmest spot during Armistice Day."
