The weather has certainly taken a cold turn in recent weeks, with many households that were holding out deciding to turn the heating on. Forecasters are now warning the country could be in for snow and sub-zero temperatures, in a period of weather being dubbed the Troll from Trondheim.
Currently, the start of next week will see temperatures of around 5-7C, with lows of 1C in Nottinghamshire. But as we move to later in the week, from Wednesday, December 7, there is set to be another cold snap, with daytime temperatures as low as 2C on Thursday and overnight lows of -3C.
Experts are continuing to keep an eye on the Beast from the East weather system, The Express reports, but a change in pressure patterns could put the UK in the firing line for a snowy blast from the Norwegian Trondheim Fjords.
