A man dubbed the 'UK's richest Gypsy' has splashed out on a gigantic £9million yacht.
Entrepreneur and dad-of-two Alfie Best, 52, is already used to living the high-life, and boasts a fleet of supercars worth £5m, a £4.2m Airbus helicopter designed by Aston Martin and a mansion in Surrey.
But now the owner of nearly 100 residential and holiday parks has snapped up a 90-foot yacht, which he said he will use to visit the hotspots of the Mediterranean with his family.
While the dad-of-two slept in his car at one stage to make ends meet, he is now enjoying the fruits of his labour.
The self-made millionaire has now revealed that he is not afraid to spend a pretty penny to enjoy life.
This includes now owning two Bugatti's, a £7.5m home in Surrey and a £4m house in London’s Knightsbridge, as well as a 50 per cent share in a £8m jet plane.
His latest luxury purchase - the ‘Wyldecrest' vessel - boasts a watersports speedboat tender and a jetski, report The Sun.
Despite this extravagant purchase, the dad-of-two is looking to get his money back on the superyacht, and is looking to rent it out - for an eye-watering £80,000 a week.
On board, there is luxury accommodation for eight guests, a lounge and swim platform at water level, as well as a bunch of 007-themed toys, including a water-driven jetpack.
Alfie, who was listed at number 232 in this year’s Sunday Times Rich List, says that having his own yacht makes like "10 times better".
By working hard for what he has now, the Romany who was born in a caravan by the side of the road in Leicestershire, said that owning a boat will allow his family to enjoy life to the fullest.
Already having spent two weeks touring Mallorca, Ibiza, Alicante, Puerto Banus, and the South of France with his son Alfie Junior, owning a superyacht is a totally new experience.
Speaking about all the onboard perks they'll be able to have the benefit of, Alfie said that he went the "extra mile with this yacht" to ensure that he is able to enjoy every part of it.
Alfie has admitted that he dreams of waking up each morning in a peaceful and remote cove or the backdrop of an incredible restaurant, or even a scenic mountain top.
But it's the quality time together with his family that he finds most rewarding, revealing that his father inspired him to be who he is today, saying he is his "idol".
In fact, he even inherited his dad's work ethic, working 16 or 17 hours a day, and has put his success down to “hard work" and "sheer grit", as well as "luck".
Alfie, who featured on ITV ’s Undercover Big Boss, said he wanted to create a superyacht at an affordable level – that is if you have £80,000 a week to spare - but one that still sticks out.
When shopping for a boat, he said that he was left unimpressed at the range, adding: “We’ve tried to create a yacht with everything you’d want but at half the price.
“In Marbella we were next to a 135-footer, and we looked like we were the bigger boat.”
Despite already having booked out six weeks of charter - with punters paying full price for the superyacht - Alfie has admitted that he would happily sell for the right price.
He said: “I come from a background that’s a little bit superstitious. So everything is for sale."
Alfie operates ‘Wyldecrest’ through Newcastle-based superyacht specialist West Nautical - which also manages the superyacht’s charter and day-to-day running.
Speaking about the entrepreneur's purchase, company MD Geoff Moore said that “Alfie has bought one of the most sought-after ‘pocket superyachts’ on the market.
“There are currently just three available globally and, despite the international gloom, the superyacht sector remains buoyant."
Alfie recently expanded his Wyldecrest Parks empire into the USA.
This is despite veteran US business magnate Warren Buffett - the fifth richest person on the planet – being his rival.
