We all love a cheeky takeaway on a weekend to treat ourselves for a hard week of work - and there's nothing like that Friday night feeling of browsing Just Eat, Deliveroo, or Uber and letting someone else make your tea for the night.
But what's your go-to in terms of junk food? Do you like to dive into a deep fried fish and chips, or are you more of a smash burger swallower. Do you go loco for tacos and burritos, or does a tikka masala tickle your fancy?
Well virtual food brand Peckwater Brands recently conducted research to identify Britain's favourite takeaway on the whole, and many UK residents will be mortified to find that fish and chips has flopped completely.

The Mirror reports that the winner has also only just beaten the family favourite Chinese, while tackling Turkish and Indian cuisine alike. Capping off the rankings in terms of fast food favourites was none other than pizza - with 50 per cent of participating consumers ranking the Italian staple among their top three selections when ordering from popular food couriers.
The result put pizza in pole position ahead of Chinese, which was only selected by 48 per cent of foodies taking part - although this did in fact rise to 75 per cent among those strictly aged 55 or above.
Indian finished third, picked by 36 per cent of respondents, while fish and chips was selected by just ten per cent. Albeit, it finished stronger than Japanese sushi and Turkish cuisine, which both scored 9 per cent respectively.
In the battle of the continents, British fare was demolished by American fast food options (34 per cent) and fried chicken (28 per cent), as well as kebabs (20 per cent).
Sam Martin, CEO of Peckwater Brands, said: "The British takeaway landscape has become so diverse over recent years, with delivery platforms opening up many new and exciting options to diners. The pandemic also encouraged more restaurants, pubs and cafés to start selling takeaway meals through delivery platforms.
"Ultimately, shifting tastes and food trends constantly reshape the takeaway market, so it is up to the takeaway businesses to continually innovate and level up their offering to stay visible and relevant."
