POLICE chiefs across the UK have criticised the Labour Government after it U-turned and decided to allow pubs to stay open to show the upcoming England-Mexico World Cup game.

England’s next knock-out game in the Fifa tournament kicks off at 1am on Monday, June 6, and the UK Government had initially said that pubs would be barred from staying open late to show the game.
