UK house prices rise again in August to show market 'holding strong'

Annual house price growth accelerated in August, marking six months in a row of year-on-year rises.

The average UK house price increased by 2.8 per cent to £293,000 in the 12 months to August, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
