Negotiations are being launched today between the UK and Israel for a new Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
An upgraded deal could expand a trading relationship worth £5bn a year to the UK, with Scottish exports to Israel already worth £92m.
It could also reduce trade barriers for 6,600 UK businesses, including 5,600 small and medium-sized enterprises which are already exporting their goods to Israel.
