Passengers caught in this week's UK airport disruption could still be entitled to meals, drinks and hotel accommodation even if they receive no financial compensation.
More than 2,100 flights were affected across Tuesday and Wednesday after a four-hour failure in air traffic control provider NATS' flight-processing system. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has warned that passengers are unlikely to qualify for compensation where their disruption was directly caused by the incident but reminded airlines that they must still look after affected customers.
