- However, expansion was muted amid price pressures stemming from the Iran war.
- This meagre growth followed a 0.1% contraction in April, which marked the first fall in eight months.
- The services sector drove the increase with a 0.3% expansion, while the production and construction sectors both saw declines.
- Overall, GDP increased by 0.7% in the three months to May.
