Passengers travelling from airports in the UK are experiencing air traffic control issues today (September 21).
On Good Morning Britain, travellers were warned about more issues, but it said they are not believed to be linked to those experienced at UK airports earlier this month.
The news programme said airports in England were affected, while some people travelling today have reported issues with flights at Glasgow Airport.
Sharing their experiences on X, some passengers have reported possible delays: “Looks like more air traffic control (NATS) issues.
Looks like more air traffic control (NATS) issues. Boarded to go from Glasgow to Porto and sitting on tarmac. Just been told it’s going to be over an hour delay.

Someone else said: “Looks like more air traffic control (NATS) issues.
“Boarded to go from Glasgow to Stansted and about to push back to be told it’s at least 60 mins before we get away.”
A NATS spokesperson said: “We are investigating a technical issue at our Prestwick centre in Scotland.
“To maintain safety, air traffic regulations have been applied to manage traffic demand.
“Engineers are on site investigating and working to resolve the issue.
“The issue is unrelated to the technical problems experienced earlier this month.
“We apologise for the disruption and any delays to passengers’ journeys.
“Passengers should check with their airline for the latest information on their flight.”
A NATS spokesperson has since said: “The issue in our Prestwick centre is now fixed.
“We are working with airports and airlines to safely lift air traffic regulations as quickly as we can to minimise any further disruption.
“Passengers should still check the status of their flight with their airline.
“We apologise for the disruption.”

The airport issue is not thought to be linked to previous airport issues this month, GMB explained.
An investigation found that an air traffic control issue, which led to more than 2000 flights being cancelled, was caused by a defect in the software that allocates codes to individual aircraft earlier this month.
A preliminary report into the incident on September 8 was released by NATS on Friday, which said that the issue was not caused by any “incorrect actions”.
Flights both in and out of the UK had to be axed, impacting hundreds of thousands of passengers.
The software which experienced issues usually allocates codes to individual aircraft automatically when manual requests are made, NATS said.
The codes are used to identify flights on radar while they are airborne.
