UIDAI allows Aadhaar email updates through app without centre visit

Aadhaar UIDAI the Unique Identification Authority of India

Aadhaar holders can now add or update their email address directly through the Aadhaar mobile application without visiting an enrolment centre, after the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) introduced a free in-app service aimed at making profile updates simpler and more secure.

The facility, available exclusively through the Aadhaar app from July 1 for a period of six months, allows users to update their email addresses at no cost, UIDAI said in a statement on Friday.
