UFC signs 19-year-old prospect Alice Pereira

Alice Pereira campaigned for the attention of UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard and UFC CEO Dana White, and just before Christmas, here wishes were granted.

The promotion has signed Pereira (6-0), who just turned 19 four days ago and was born in December 2005, to join its women’s bantamweight division.

White shared a video Tuesday on his Instagram stories which showed Maynard calling Pereira and delivering her the news that she had been signed. The Brazilian was overcome with emotion and expressed her gratitude.

Pereira made her MMA debut in August 2023 and has finished five of her six career victories thus far, including an 11-second knockout finish in July. “Golden Girl” defeated former ONE Championship title challenger Samara Santos on Dec. 14, and afterward campaigned for Maynard to sign her while wearing a t-shirt with his name and her resume.

A date and opponent for Pereira’s octagon debut have not been revealed at this time.
