The UFC is headed back to Charlotte, N.C. for the first time since 2018.
Thursday, the promotion officially announced its upcoming May 13 event will be held at Spectrum Center. MMA Junkie reported Thursday that Charlotte was the frontrunner for the event, which also had been linked to Nashville.
While a fight card was not officially announced, a five-round light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith (36-17 MMA, 11-7 UFC) and Johnny Walker (20-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC) is scheduled for the event.
It is unclear which network this event will be air or stream on, though a person with knowledge of the card recently told MMA Junkie the broadcast plan is ABC for the main card.
