Another Saturday, another offering from the UFC as this weekend sees UFC on ESPN 49 go down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The entire fight card airs on ESPN.
Women’s bantamweight contenders, keen to fight for the belt now that Amanda Nunes has retired, take center stage in the main event. Former UFC champion Holly Holm (15-6 MMA, 8-6 UFC) meets the streaking Mayra Bueno Silva (10-2-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) in a matchup with potential title stakes.

Holly Holm
Holm, 41, is the oldest female fighter on the UFC roster.

Norma Dumont (9-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) competes in her sixth UFC women’s featherweight bout, tied with Megan Anderson and Felicia Spencer for most appearances in divisional history.
Dumont is 4-1 since she moved up to the UFC women’s featherweight division in November 2020.
Dumont’s four victories in UFC women’s featherweight competition are tied with Cris Cyborg for most in divisional history.
Dumont has earned all five of her UFC victories by decision.
Terrance McKinney vs. Nazim Sadykhov
Terrance McKinney (13-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) has earned all 13 of his career victories by stoppage. He’s finished all three of his UFC wins in the first round.
McKinney’s average fight time of 3:02 in UFC lightweight competition is the shortest in divisional history.
