Roman Dolidze set the bar high in the opening bout of UFC on ESPN 37.
The UFC middleweight picked up a quick and vicious stoppage victory Saturday in Austin, Texas. Dolidze (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) finished Kyle Daukaus (11-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) with a knockout at the 1:13 mark of the first round.
It was a quick finish. Dolidze pressed Daukaus against the cage, and in the clinch position blasted Daukaus with a knee to the chin. Daukaus immediately dropped to the canvas just to take a few following shots before the referee stopped the bout.
Dolidze is now on a two-fight winning streak. He defeated Laureano Staropoli by unanimous decision in his previous outing in June 2021.
