The lineup for the first episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 7 is filled.
Lightweights Bogdan Grad (11-1) and Tom Nolan (5-0) will square off at the Aug. 8 event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Austria’s Grad, 27, enters his first DWCS appearance on a five-fight winning streak. In 11 pro wins, Grad has nine finishes including seven TKOs and two submissions. Grad has competed most recently for Cage FS, an Austrian-based promotion. Check out the full DWCS Season 7’s lineup here.
Australia’s Nolan, 23, fights out of Team Compton Training Center and has three TKOs in five wins. The upcoming bout will be Nolan’s first outside of Australia, as he’s solely competed for local promotions Eternal and XFC thus far.
With the addition, the Aug. 8 lineup includes:
